Bryan Palmer is a long standing member of The Affable Partnership Team.  He specialises in  mental health illness and the issues it creates for individuals, employees and for companies. He has a unique perspective on mental illness, maintaining wellbeing, recovery and challenges of creating a practical work-life balance.

Mental Health Champions

Two sessions of 4 hour each (8 hours total) for any member of staff to help them understand mental health and how they can offer support to those experiencing a mental health issue(s). This interactive course will provide an overview in recognising the main signs and symptoms of mental ill health and how to provide the right initial support of someone experiencing a mental health issue.  Covering the following -

  • What is mental health?

  • Supporting mental health in the workplace

  • Understanding Workplace stress, the impact of our wellbeing, and suggestions on reducing it

  • The mental health continuum

  • Information about common mental health conditions and the potential triggers.

3 hour session for line managers covering the following –

  • Understand what mental health is

  • Identify how to support someone experiencing a mental health problem.

Sophie Cartledge is a CPD Accredited and works with organisations to ensure that both employees and employers are fully supported when it comes to menopause. This can benefit employers by reducing the costs involved with members of staff leaving, going part-time, increased sickness levels or tribunals related to menopause.
